5. Sınıf İngilizce “My Town” ünitesi, öğrencilerin şehirde karşılaştıkları kamu binalarını İngilizce olarak tanımaları, yön sorma ve tarif etme kalıplarını öğrenmeleri ve yer bildiren edatları kullanarak konum belirtebilmeleri amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Bu ünitede öğrenciler; okul, hastane, kütüphane gibi günlük yaşamda sıkça karşılaşılan yapıları İngilizce olarak ifade etmeyi, bu yapılarla ilgili soru-cevap kurmayı ve yol tariflerini anlamayı öğreneceklerdir.
